And they could use the veto if it comes to a vote:
The US is desperate to avoid being put into a position of having to wield its veto. With growing international support for Palestinian statehood, even in Europe, the US is looking increasingly isolated in its support for Israel and a veto would badly damage Mr Obama’s credentials in a rapidly changing Middle East.
But the president faces a politically damaging backlash from the pro-Israeli lobby and its many supporters in Congress if he does not block a resolution, a move that could also cost all-important Jewish votes in key swing states like Florida during next year’s presidential election.
what is this? nothing could make the middle east safer than a legitimate Palestinian state, even one that exists alongside Israel, since they could argue on the same level (instead of now, where Palestine is “lesser” than Israel). but of course, I forgot, Americans are fucking stupid! can’t stop worrying about turristz
When you scroll through this tumblr feed, almost all the photographs you will see were taken on my iPhone. The iPhone is great for photographing because of how easy it is; it’s my phone, and it takes decent photographs! However, what has become apparent is the relatively poor quality of said photographs.
When I photograph buildings that are architecturally interesting to me, I can tell that I’m not taking great photographs. When I see pictures of food, I can tell I’m not making the food look nearly as appetizing as I should be. Maybe I am to blame; I am not the world’s best photographer, nor am I close to it. However, I cannot help but think that the iPhone’s quality is partly to blame.
I don’t know if I can wholly replace my photography with a real camera; I have one, but it’s big, and can I carry it with me everywhere like some dumb tourist? I don’t exactly update this tumblr thingy that often anyway, though, so maybe if I can’t hit quantity, I should be aiming for quality.
